Websites for trades
A website that gets the phone ringing.
People looking for a plumber, electrician or builder want three things fast: do you cover my area, can I trust you, and how do I get a price. A trades site should answer all three on the first screen of a phone.
Copperline · concept, fictional businessWhat the site has to do
- 01
Make it easy to ask for a price
A short quote form where people can add photos of the job, plus a WhatsApp or call button that's always in reach.
- 02
Show the areas you cover
Your towns and postcodes written out properly, so customers and Google both know where you work.
- 03
Earn trust quickly
Your registrations (Gas Safe, NICEIC, TrustMark or whatever applies) with numbers people can check, plus real photos of your work.
- 04
Say what things cost
Call-out charges, day rates or typical job prices where you're happy to share them. It saves time on calls that go nowhere.

Missed-call texts
Up a ladder when the phone rings? The caller gets a text straight back, so the job doesn't go to the next number on Google.

Questions we get asked
I get most of my work through word of mouth. Do I need a website?
Word of mouth usually ends with someone looking you up. A clear site with your registrations, photos of your work and an easy way to get in touch is what turns that recommendation into a call.
Can customers send photos of the job?
Yes. The quote form can take photos from their phone, so you can price many jobs before you visit.
I don't have good photos of my work.
Send whatever you have from your phone and we'll pick the best. We can also arrange a local photographer for a few hours if you'd like a proper set.
Can you show my Gas Safe or NICEIC details?
Yes, with your registration number and a link to the official register where one exists, so customers can check it themselves.
