Accessibility statement
Last reviewed 15 October 2026.
Everyone should be able to use a business's website, whatever device they use and however they use it. This statement covers orderhatch.co.uk and explains how we make the websites we build for clients accessible.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means you should be able to:
- use every page and form with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- zoom text to 200% and use the site on a phone without scrolling sideways
- read text with enough contrast against its background
- use a screen reader: pages have proper headings, labelled forms and descriptions for meaningful images
- turn off motion: animation is reduced if your device asks for less motion
How we test it
- Automated checks against WCAG 2.2 AA (axe) on our key pages, on phone and desktop sizes
- Keyboard-only checks of navigation, menus and forms
- Checks on real phone sizes, at 200% zoom, with reduced motion
- A re-test whenever we change a page significantly
Known limitations
- Our concept websites (in our work) are demonstrations for fictional businesses. They are built to the same standard but are not tested as often as this site.
- Some services we link to, such as WhatsApp and Stripe's payment pages, are run by other companies and have their own accessibility.
- Screenshots of websites are decorative or described in text; the live demos themselves are the accessible version.
The websites we build for you
Every website we build is designed and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA as standard, not as an extra. That includes:
- colours and type chosen for contrast from the start
- forms with clear labels, helpful error messages and no time limits
- menus, booking tools and other interactive features that work with a keyboard and a screen reader
- alternative text for meaningful images, and captions or transcripts for video you supply
- fast pages that work on older phones and slower connections
If your organisation has its own accessibility requirements or needs an accessibility statement for its website, tell us at the start and we'll build and document to them.
