Ways to make the move.
Part exchange, assisted move and help with deposits on selected plots, and an honest affordability helper. Every scheme has terms; we would rather explain them than hide them.
- 01
Part exchange
We buy your current home so you can move without a chain. We arrange two independent valuations and offer a price based on them. Available on selected plots and subject to your home meeting our criteria. Check current eligibility.
- 02
Assisted move
Our appointed estate agent markets and sells your current home, and we pay the agent's fee when you complete on your Wenlow home. Check current eligibility.
- 03
Deposit contribution
On selected plots we contribute towards your deposit, paid on completion. The amount varies by plot and is set out in your reservation agreement. Check current eligibility.
- 04
First Homes
A government-backed scheme that can offer eligible first-time buyers a discount on the market price of selected plots. Price caps, local connection rules and income limits apply, and they change over time. Check current eligibility.
- 05
Shared ownership
Selected homes at some sites are offered through housing association partners: you buy a share and pay rent on the rest. Eligibility and terms are set by the housing association. Check current eligibility.
- 06
Key worker and armed forces priority
At some sites we give people in key roles and serving or former members of the armed forces the first chance to reserve, before plots go on general release. Check current eligibility.
All schemes are subject to status, terms and availability, apply to selected plots only and may be withdrawn. Government-backed schemes change: check current eligibility with our sales team or an independent adviser.
A rough guide, clearly labelled.
Move the sliders to see an illustrative borrowing range and which Wenlow homes fall within it. This is not financial advice and it is not a mortgage offer.
Nothing you enter here leaves this page.
Illustrative only and not financial advice. Uses 4 to 4.5 times combined income after reducing it for monthly repayments, and an example interest rate of 4.5% on a repayment mortgage at the top of the range. Lenders assess every application differently. Speak to a qualified, independent mortgage adviser before you commit.
Six steps, one named person.
- 01
Reserve
Choose a plot and pay a £2,000 reservation fee, which comes off the price. The plot is held for 28 days while solicitors and lenders do their work.
- 02
Mortgage and survey
Your mortgage adviser applies; the lender values the home. Our sales adviser keeps everyone moving.
- 03
Choices
Pick kitchen fronts, worktops, tiles and flooring from the range, up to the build stage cut-off for your plot.
- 04
Exchange
Contracts are exchanged and your deposit (usually 10%) is paid. Your completion window is confirmed.
- 05
Home demonstration
Before you move, your site manager walks you through the house: heat pump, ventilation, meters and every key.
- 06
Keys
Completion day. We meet you at the door, and your customer care manager calls a week later, and again at three months.
Asked most often.
Do you still offer Help to Buy?
No. The Help to Buy equity loan closed to new applications in 2022 and to completions in 2023. If you see it on a housebuilder's website now, the page is out of date.
Can I reserve before I have sold my home?
Yes, and part exchange or assisted move can help. We will be clear about timescales before you reserve.
Which mortgage adviser should I use?
Any qualified, independent adviser. We can introduce one if you like, but you are under no obligation to use them.
Is the price negotiable?
Our prices are set per plot and published. Schemes and incentives, where offered, are set out plainly in the reservation agreement.
