Devon MacMillan Photography
Devon's own wildlife photography: lions, leopards and wild dogs in Kruger, cheetahs and zebra at Welgevonden, macaques in Southeast Asia and deer in Richmond Park. A dark gallery built around the photographs, with a journal of trips and prints on request.
- Whose
- Devon MacMillan's own venture, not client work
- Design and build
- In-house, by Devon
What was built
- 01A portfolio you can filter by place and by black and white or colour, each frame with its camera settings
- 02A journal of trips, with a Kruger entry that draws on his essay in PRISMA Photography Magazine
- 03Prints with room mock-ups, and an enquiry form that fills in the print you picked
- 04Every caption, date and setting read from the image files, with location data removed
The standout feature
Light & lens
On the portfolio page, every photograph is plotted by the hour on the camera clock and the focal length it was shot at, read straight from the files. Hover or tap a point to find the photograph, then open it.
