One van in 1991. Seven of us now.
Ray Kestle went self-employed with a borrowed Escort van and a test meter. His daughter Jess joined as his apprentice in 2009, qualified in 2013, and has run the firm since 2019. Still Tooting, still family, still answering our own phone.
Thirty-five years. One name on the van.

Ray goes it alone
After twelve years with a contractor, Ray starts out doing rewires in Tooting and Balham terraces.

Approved contractor
Two vans, two electricians, and registration with a competent person scheme the year Part P arrives.

Jess starts
Jess joins as Ray's apprentice at 18. Rule one: leave it better than you found it.

Kestle & Daughter
Jess takes over the business and the name changes. Ray still does Tuesdays and the emergency rota.

EV chargers
Approved installer status for EV chargepoints. Kwame joins to lead it.

Solar and battery
MCS certification. Now about a third of our work.
