Plate 08 · Saturday, the window table

    N° 07 — Since 2019

It started with a borrowed espresso machine in an old bike shop on Chatsworth Road.

Priya baked, Sam pulled shots, and the queue was out of the door by the second Saturday. Six years on there's a second café in Peckham, a roaster in Hackney Wick and the same cardamom knots Priya made on day one.

We still know most of our regulars by their order. Say hello to Nell, Kofi and Alba behind the counter.

“The order-ahead thing has changed my mornings. I walk past the queue, take my oat flat white off the shelf and I'm on the train.”

“Best cardamom knot in London, and I've done the research.”
